I began HoyaSaxa Leadership Coaching in 2021 in an effort to bring the lessons I have learned from my decades long career as a collegiate sailing coach to leaders in the business, education and non-profit space.
I am a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a degree in European History and Diplomacy. I hold a masters degree in liberal studies from Georgetown. I received my Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership in December 2021.
I have extensive experience coaching leaders in business, higher education and non-profits.
Highlights from my career as the Head Varsity Sailing Coach at Georgetown University include:
Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Conference Coach of the Year in 2015 and 2020
US Sailing and USOC National Sailing Coach of the Year in 2012
Three-time recipient of the Outstanding Coaching Achievement Award an honor presented by Georgetown Athletics to the most outstanding coach from the academic year
Since I began my career during the 1998-99 season, Georgetown sailing has received 100 All-America honors, 7 College Sailor of the Year Awards, 2 Gold Medals at the World University Games and the program has won 15 National Championships and has sent sailors to the Olympics three times.
